Cyanotype is one of the very first photographic printing techniques, producing beautiful blue images.
In this introductory class you’ll learn all the basics of this amazing alternative photographic technique. We’ll make prints using the Classic formula as well as the “New” formula. You’ll learn about the chemicals and how to mix the preparations, the various papers to use, and the processing method to develop and the stabilize the print. We will also cover print toning and briefly discuss other materials you can use as well as a brief discussion of digital negatives.
When you leave you’ll have some gorgeous blue prints and the know-how to create more at home!
